Join Alaska Writers Guild for a virtual write-in hosted by Mat-Su VP Caitlin Buxbaum. Bring your favorite beverage, writing tool, and your imagination for a generative writing session and informal gathering online while we wait for the green-light on meeting in person again.
Genres are open and prompts will be provided, but feel free to write whatever comes to you in the moment. Anyone can attend, but it'll be designed for writers age 14 and up.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their work at the end as time allows.
Caitlin M.S. Buxbaum is a writer and teacher born and raised in Alaska. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching and a B.A. in English and Japanese Studies with an emphasis in Creative Writing. She wrote more than 600 stories as a reporter for the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman and will release her eighth book, The Birthday Picture and Other Stories, through Red Sweater Press this fall. She has also had individual poems and stories published in various literary magazines, including: Alaska Women Speak, Cirque, The Ekphrastic Review, The Nonconformist and Verse-Virtual.
