Hello and happy 2012. For those of you who might not know me, my name is Josie McKinney and I am the Alaska Writer's Guild 2012 president. I am a fifth generation Alaskan born and raised in Fairbanks before moving to Anchorage. I always wanted to become an author when I grew up and that dream finally came true when my husband, Mark, and I wrote a fantasy trilogy together.
Being part of the writer's guild has been very rewarding. I learn something new at every monthly meeting, even the ones I don't think will apply to me. I find myself excited about getting home to write just by chatting with members and guests before and after the meetings. If you are looking for information, motivation, and inspiration to write, this is the place for you. I hope to meet and speak with all of you at our upcoming meetings.
